HELPING STUDENTS FIND AND FULFILL GOD’S PURPOSE FOR THEIR LIVES!

Our youth ministry is called “4:12” This comes from 1 Timothy 4:12:

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set

an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Our ministry exists to disciple young people to follow Jesus and be challenged to find God's purpose for their lives.

We want to partner with parents and caring adults by creating an environment where students can Belong, find the Truth to Believe in, and Become more like Jesus!

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

The main 4:12 gathering happens on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00 pm, and students from 5th-12th grade are welcome to join us.

The evening is centered around Worship and His Word – But don't get the wrong picture, because we love to have fun!

We start the evening with a family meal at 5:45 pm, followed by our 4:12 service at 6:30 pm, where we play games, worship together with a live band, and listen to a youth sermon. Following that, students go to their respective small groups to discuss the passage, have meaningful conversations, pray for each other, and be the Church!

During the summer, we don’t stop: We meet from 6-8 pm. We gather at Marion Methodist in the outside area, enjoy worship outside, hang out, play games, and do a bible study! Make sure to check out our summer calendar.

SMALL GROUPS

Small Groups are a critical part of our ministry because it’s where students can share, ask questions, make friends, and have an adult leader invest in them.

Small groups happen each Wednesday to go deeper into the week’s topic. Occasionally, small groups will have fun activities outside of normal gatherings.

4:12 SPARK

Spark is the 5th and 6th grade ministry within 4:12. After large group games and worship, Spark students have their own designated space on Wednesday nights for a shorter message and longer small group time.

Spark students are also invited to visit W30 at 10:00 on Sunday mornings for snacks and fellowship before joining the 10:15 church service!

WINTER WEEKEND

It’s a time to get away from the normal routine of life, school, and other activities. The goal is to retreat and spend time with other youth and adult leaders while growing in our relationship with God and each other.

It is like a mini camp, with the same energy, all packed into three days and two nights.

Winter Weekend 2027 details are coming soon!

SUMMER CAMP

Summer Games University was born out of Marion Methodist many years ago, with a vision to reach young people with the hope of the Gospel. It is now a multi-church camp hosted at Grinnell College in Iowa. SGU is a week full of fun, great music, worship, and a retreat away from the usual routine of life, so you can grow in faith.

Every student in 6th-12th grade is welcome to participate in this unique summer experience.

We believe in this camp so much that if you are part of 4:12 and want to come to camp,  you get $300 off your registration.
